Are you an avid reader? Join the Senior Book Club, in partnership with the Jewish Book Council, is a group that reads a selected novel and meets once a month to analyze, debate, and draw connections about a book. Post-discussion, meet via Zoom with the author of the novel to get the answers to your questions. We look forward to discussing literature with you! This program is free to attend though registration is required beforehand.

Kavod van picks up the JCC Denver at 6:30pm

Enjoy an exciting evening of music from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music with their full Lamont Symphony Orchestra. The LSO spotlights several Lamont faculty members on this night of music by Mozart and Mahler. Ian Wisekal (oboe), Jeremy Reynolds (clarinet), Martin Kuuskmann (bassoon) and David Byrd-Marrow (horn) are the soloists in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante. On the second half, Heidi Melton is the soprano soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

  • Tai Chi class will resume Monday January 8 at 9:00 am.
  • Parkinson Fitness Tuesday at 1:00 pm
  • Gym Orientation -Thursday 1:00
  • Complementary to Silver Sneakers, Renew Active, Silver and Fit, and Active and Fit members.  

These memberships also have free access to the gym and pool time 10:30-12:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. 

  • Balance Circuit Tuesday at 10:00 . This class is a great insurance program to prevent falls.
  • Aqua on Tuesday at 8:30, Thursday and Friday at 10:00 am and Saturday at 9:30 am
  • Chair Yoga Monday at 12:00 and Thursday at 10:00 am.
  • Yoga -Tuesday 11:00 am 
  • Fun Aqua Volleyball 11:00 am-12:30 Saturday

Small Group Personal Training is a great value to have training with a personal trainer to keep you active and moving. 

Wellness Center and Pool will be closed Tuesday April 23.  And the pool will be closed Monday – Wednesday April 22-24 for cleaning.

JCC Denver hosts weekly senior lunches in partnership with Jewish Family Services. This is an opportunity to eat a nutritious kosher-style meal, socialize with friends, meet new people and enjoy being active at the J.

Zoom with Rabbi Rheins, Temple Sinai

Rabbi Rheins will lead this Virtual class as we continue with the reading of the Second Book of Samuel and then the Books of Kings. A PDF of each week’s text will be sent out with the Zoom hyperlink. We’ll review selections from classic commentary as well as insights from modern scholarship to get a rich and full understanding of the texts. Of course, we’ll also have ample opportunities to share our thoughts.
