Rick & Marcie and Alan Boxer

Marcie and Rick Boxer are fourth and fifth generation Denver natives with deep roots in the community. They are graduates of local high schools and earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of Colorado. Rick is a CPA in practice with his father, Alan, at Boxer and Associates. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Marcie is an Accountant with Weststar Property Management.

Both Marcie and Rick have been active members of Denver’s Jewish Community.  Rick served on the Board of Kavod Senior Life and was the Chair of Kavod’s Fiscal Committee. He was a member of the Board of Directors of BMH-BJ synagogue.  Marcie has been active with the Goldberger Youth Center at the Hebrew Educational Alliance.

The Boxer are the parents of two children, Josh and Kayla. They have taught their children the importance of philanthropy and community activism through their example.

Alan Boxer is a Denver native who was born in 1935. He grew up on the West Side and graduated with a BA in Accounting and Law from the University of Denver. He is the father of three children and the grandfather of six.

Practicing CPA with his son, Rick Boxer, at Boxer and Associates.  He is a member of American Institute o fCPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs.

He and his wife Gayle z”l’ endowed the Alan and Gayle Boxer Jewish Youth Fund at Hebrew Educational Alliance that sends Jewish youth to summer camps.

Alan has served on the Boards of ADL, BMH-BJ and B’nai B’rith.  He is has been on the Board of Mt. Nebo Cometary since 1995.

His philanthropic passion is ensuring that all people have access to food.

Irina Pines, MD

Dr. Pines immigrated to the United States as a trained physician in the former Soviet Union. She graduated from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine in 1981. After arriving in the United States she proceeded to return to school in order to become a license in America. She specializes in Internal Medicine at Denver Health and primarily provides services to low income individuals. She has one daughter and her mother has lived at Kavod Senior Life for more than 20 years.
